Children’s Ministry

Jesus said, “Allow the little children to come to me and do not forbid them.”

At Lake Murray Presbyterian, we believe that children are not just important but are an essential part of who we are as a church.
So we have regular and special ministries that target children.
We are in the early phase of   constructing  a Children’s Ministry Building.  It will house our Sunday School, Preschool, Vacation Bible School, full time daycare, After School and respite ministry for parents with disabled children.

Sunday School is at 9 A.M. for children ages 3 years through adults. We have a nursery for those under the age of 3.
Children’s choir meets every Sunday at 8:25 A.M. in the choir room. All 1st-5th graders are welcome. Dr. Janet Roberts is the music director.

In January we will have a First Communion class to teach first and second grade children about communion so that they may participate knowingly and fully.

On many occassions we have family movie nights (mega screen and sound at church)- or Parents Night Out.

Proposed Chidlren Ministry Buildings. We will start fundraising and building in 2013. Jesus said, “Let the Little children come- and do not hinder them.”
