Fall celebrations begin with some classes this morning, with even more tomorrow. I want to remind everyone that LMPC will be having Trunk or Treat in the upper level of the parking lot tomorrow evening from 5-7 pm. Please drop by and get some treats! We do ask that you park in the lower lots.
If you want to get a head start on Christmas shopping, we have openings in Mother’s Morning Out for 2 and 3 year olds on the following Fridays in November and December: November 2, 9, 16, 30 and December 7 and 14. Please call before you come to make sure we still have space.
We will begin taking orders for the preschool cookbook on November 1. We will have samples to look at in the classrooms beginning November 7th. The cost will be $10 each. Thank you to Shauna Rhymer for the idea and all of the typing and organizing she did. Thank you also to the POP group for their input and help with putting the books together. We will be working on assembling more of the books on November 19 and 20 if you have a little time to help.
Teaching our children about sharing with others in our community is an important value we emphasize. We are going to be collecting food for We Care, the local food pantry during the month of November. To make it more exciting we are going to have a little Clemson-Carolina competition. They are in need of the following items: grits, rice, soup and beans. If you contribute, please label Clemson, Carolina or other school and we will put it in the correct box. We have also been asked to collect corn for the Thanksgiving meals that the Chapin community will be distributing.
Our Christmas music program will be on Wednesday, December 12 at 11:30 am in the sanctuary. The 3’s, 4’s and PreK classes will be participating.
If you ordered Scholastic books, you should have received your books by now. We had one order without a name on it for Barbie Princess Popstar. Please let me know if you ordered this book.
I am including minutes from the recent POP meeting. If you have not been able to join us, our next meeting will be the first of December to plan for the pancake supper in January. We would love to have your help. Proceeds will go to the new children’s building. Just had a meeting last night with the architects and the final design is awesome. This will be a great addition to our community.
