“It is the duty of deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith.” (Book of Order G-6.0401)
Our deacons visit the sick, the grieving, the lonely sharing a smile and God’s comfort.? Deacons normally meet the third Sunday of the month after the 10:30 worship service.
In 2018 the Deacons added CARE Teams as a ministry. CARE Teams care for those on an ongoing basis- doing things like taking folks to the doctor, cleaning yards, buying groceries etc.
Deacons also oversee our Helping Hands Ministry- that provides a meal for the grieving, hurting, or sick.
