The great news- welcome David Mills our new youth director 1/10/10
David is from Arkansas, and has been a youth director at a PCUSA church and also a program director for MoRanch (like Montreat- but in Texas).  He was in charge of the ropes course and environmental education.  David is an eagle scout!  We welcome David.

Our Senior High group meets during the school year on Sunday nights.  We'll have dinner at 6:00, Program from 6:30- 7:30.  We usually rotate between Bible study, service projects, and just plain fun. 

We also offer weekly Bible studies for boys and girls. 
Our Senior High Sunday School class meets each Sunday morning at 9:00 A.M. 
Jason White, Beau Bonvillain, Chris Cloyd, and Mark Gardiner lead the youth SS class.

The youth group goes skiing in the winter (went 1/16-18), rafting in the summer, and to Montreat for the weekly youth conference.  In January 2009 we had a great trip to Orlando to the "Faith in 3D" Conference.
 This past summer we had 35 go to Montreat- for a great and inspiring time.

4/7-10 Spring Break Mission trip Housing Rennovation in Asheveille- www.recreationexperiences.org
          The church (Missions offering) is supplementing this trip for the youth, so the youth only pay about 1/3 
           of the cost= $100 for the first 15 signing up.

5/9- MOther's day appreaciation Dinner (youth cook for mothers on Mother's Day)

6/13-19 Montreat Youth Conference Cost $400 (we will be doing fundraisers and offering a scholarship)
            The church supplements this by paying for van rentals and adult and staff advisors and supporting fund
             raisers.
