Old Business:

Lovic Brooks reported on the SC Presbyterians meeting on 5/18 at Saxe Gotha and the meeting on 5/22 after the service where response to passage of new ordination standards was discussed.  A lengthy discussion was held on the Sessions’ position and response on this matter and member reaction, including requests to both stop and not stop per capita contributions to the General Assembly. Ben Sloan discussed per capita details which included a handout summary.  Mze Wilkins presented a recommendation from Finance        Committee that it be allowed to continue its discussions on the topic before making a recommendation to Session.  After discussion and debate, the Finance Committee recommendation was approved and no further action was taken at the meeting on the matter.

Based on the length of the discussion of old business, it was agreed to limit committee reports to matters needing Session action or awareness, with members urged to review written committee minutes for other information.
