The Session of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church met at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church with the following in attendance: Senior Pastor, Dr. Ben Sloan; Elders, Lovic Brooks, Peggy Burgin, Mark Clement, Gail Comalander, Eddie Edwards, Dede Elmore, John Ferguson, Alan Grimsley, Pam Harrell, Pam Hutto, Robbie Johnson, Larry Owens, Lyn Richards, Eric Rogers, and Mze Wilkins. Excused: Jennifer Aldrich and Lorrie Watkins
The meeting was opened with devotion based on Mathew and prayer by Ben Sloan.

Motions were made, seconded, and approved:
(1) for Ray and Susan Brush to purchase niche for Susan’s parents

Committee Reports
Presbyterian Women-
No report
Deacons-
Ann McCrary reported 137 contacts in last month. Helping Hands has been taken over. Concern expressed re flowers going to waste and concern referred to Worship Committee. Request for volunteers to help with Lemonade on Lawn for remainder of summer.
Finance Report-
Committee met twice and written minutes distributed and reviewed by Mze
Wilkins. Motions in the minutes
were discussed and passed to: (1) withhold per capita contributions to General
Assembly for those members so requesting and (2) for Ben Sloan and
Administration-
Larry Owens and Ben Sloan reviewed written proposals to adopt changes to operations manual per NFOG amendments. No objections expressed to proposals, but proposals to be added to Old Business for August meeting formal consideration.
Christian Education-
No meeting but noted that 27 children and 8 adults at Montreat. New sign for preschool to be up soon.
Fellowship-
No meeting but reported that canoe trip scheduled for July 30 and lunch after church on July 31.
Evangelism & Assimilation-
Need for assistance with Lemonade on Lawn noted. 150 homes visited in neighborhood canvass on 6/26.
Worship-
No report except noted microphone and related equipment being replaced. Approved use of Church on 7/23 for Good Works speaker.
No meeting.
Property-
Eddie Edwards reported that new preschool sign installed next Friday. Still working on A/C issue for Sunday service.
Missions –
Pam Harrell reported much wrap up work from successful Good Works Blitz in progress. Also reported that migrant workers’ dinner went well.
Personnel-
No meeting. Delaying replacement of Ken Jermac for at least a month to save money and to fund temporary nursery help.
New Church Development-
No meeting. Robbie Johnson reported plans to attend conference in August.
New Business
None
The meeting was closed with prayer by Dr. Ben Sloan.
