Worship

You are always invited to worship with us!  At Lake Murray you will find a place to belong. Your faith will be nurtured and all are welcomed and loved.

The sanctuary of Lake Murray Presbyterian is a sacred and holy place built to feel God’s presence and provide space for a meaningful worship experience. We have traditional Presbyterian services, acknowledging and responding to the glory and power of God present in the world and our lives. Worship contains prayer, music, scripture, preaching, sacraments, offering and sharing of community joys and concerns.

Children are encouraged to be a part of worship. As you enter the sanctuary, worship bags are available, containing activities for children to complete in the pews. During the service, we have a Children’s Sermon, followed by Children’s Church. A nursery is available in Room 204 of the Fellowship Hall Building.

At each worship service, ushers will provide you a bulletin outlining the worship service. An usher can provide you with assisted listening devices and large print hymnals. We invite you for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am. We would love to meet you!

  • 8:30 am ~ SunUp Service in the sanctuary beginning December 1, 2013. The SunUp Service is meant to give you a choice, but some things will be the same…the same God and the same minister in our beautiful sanctuary. It will be less liturgical 45 minute service. The Announcements will be at 8:20 am, followed by the Opening Singing. We may sing a hymn from your childhood! The Call to Worship follows the Open Singing.
  • 9:00 am ~ Fellowship Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall
  • 9:30 am ~ Sunday School
  • 10:30 am ~ Worship Service in the sanctuary. This service is enhanced with music from our Adult Choir.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated at both services the first Sunday of each month.
